For AdultsAs well as being an effective form of self defence Taekwondo provides the two main elements of essential regular exercise. They are aerobic and stretching exercise.
Medical research has shown that adults who do aerobic exercise regularly are 30% less likely to suffer heart attacks or angina, 50% less likely to contract bowel cancer and 70% less likely to suffer from Alzheimer's. Regular stretching produces the cells which strengthen bones resulting in 50% less likelihood of tearing muscles or breaking bones in old age.
Training alongside other adults regularly leads to developing friendships and an improved social life.
Some adults shy away from training alongside children. At classes we always try to have a number of qualified Instructors in attendance. Therefore, adults can be taught separately from children and like-wise for levels of ability. Classes are organized to suit all those present and students with exceptional potential can be fast-pathed through the grades.
For Families
There are very few other activities where mum, dad and kids can practice, learn and enjoy training alongside each other. Our classes allow the whole family to attend the same sessions together.
